WHAT'S IN THIS NEWSLETTER
Seriously consider shifting JOMO and escaping from the fear of missing out (on the latest news, book, webinar, social media posting...)

NEWS
The month ahead sees a number of projects reaching completion: a chapter on story-bridging for World Scientific Publishers, a booklet on spreading circle work far, wide and deep (with Charter for Compassion), input for Project Management South Africa.

And the start of new work for clients - local and abroad in the UK and USA

BUT
As the South African situation worsens (energy supply, joblessness, oppressive and unconstitutional legislation, pay demands by the huge public sector at a time when the economy is near collapse, increasing violent crime, and a growing racist and dictatorial approach by government) - a real threat of anarchy looms... My hope remains that a new and better narrative can be written. And hoping for the best doesn't exclude staying grounded, resisting the unacceptable aspects of the so-called "new normal", and looking after your families by preparing for the worst.

QUOTEABLE QUOTES
"Stories have a sacred signature that change the way people see themselves and each other. Stories orchestrate emergent possibilities" - Terrence Gargiulo

"We all are working within a constructed lie based on scarcity and survival, as 2 of the world's richest now own more land than all indigenous tribes put together" - Alana Levandoski

"I am a storyteller, for better and for worse. I suspect that a feeling for stories, for narrative, is a universal human disposition, going with our powers of language, consciousness of self, and autobiographical memory" - Oliver Sacks
