Building BounceBackAbility

I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection” - Leonardo da Vinci

WHY THIS PROGRAMME?
The demands of modern work, social and family life, characterised by lots of change, too often leave us overwhelmed and even defeated.Modern day lives invite chronic stress and eventual burnout – including the subtle creeping kind. For example technological information overload and addiction to keeping informed
Some cope better than others. Some swim while others flounder, even sink - and the difference is their resilience, their hardiness, their bouncebackability.
Resilience or hardiness is the positive resourcefulness of people to cope with disappointments, stress, adversity, change – seemingly minor, or catastrophic – and to bounce back, stronger than before.

We all need hardiness, which can be developed. Organisations today want to be agile and they require resilient employees.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME?
Each participant is given a confidential interpretation of a short assessment questionnaire that covers what we need to cope with:

• the challenge of change
• how comfortable they are during transitions
• how much in control of themselves they are during change.

During the unique, interactive programme participants discover new coping mechanisms. They learn through short talks, video clips, discussions and exercises (individual, small group and plenary). The Marshall Goldsmith ‘Wheel of Change’ method of setting and achieving personal goals and outcomes is applied. The programme outline is:
